Rich Harden Pitches A’s to First Win of the Season

by @ 3:37 am. Filed under 2007 Athletics

What an outing by Rich Harden.  This is what we’ve  been waiting for from the ace this season and he delivered with seven innings of shutout ball.  He gave up just three hits and two walks and he struck out seven.  And the end result is the A’s first win of the season.

The Athletics also got it done at the plate with Mark Ellie leading the way with two doubles and five RBIs.  Shannon Stewart had two hits and two runs while Milton Bradley drove in two runs.

Next stop is a four game series in Anaheim against the undefeated Angels.  Chad Gaudin will be making his first start since 2005 and he’ll face Joe Saunders.  Man would three out of four be nice in this one.
