Greg Smith gave up four runs in six innings. Not great, but not terrible either. With a little help from the batters, the game might have been won. However, that help never came. The team’s four singles scattered throughout the game somehow just didn’t produce any runs. The teams face each other again tonight at 8:05 ET. The A’s need to get the bats going and break Texas’s shutout streak.
